Available Channels on the URF517 Reflector for Direct Connection

Module A is the transcoding channel (also known as a module). Channel A has two hardware transcoders, one for transmit and one for receive.

All modules allow direct connection by DMR, YSF, D-STAR, and M17. Because DMR and YSF use the same codec (AMBE+2) a hardware transcoder is not needed for opeators to have QSOs between DMR and YSF. D-STAR to D-STAR and sWhat this means is that if operators want have a QSO not on the main transcoded channel just jump on one of the other channels - no need to create a talkgroup on another server.

URF Reflectors support 26 modules, A through Z. URF517 has enabled 8 of the 26 but more or all could be enabled if needed.

Module A - Multimode - DG-ID 10, XLX 64001, DCS517AL
Module B - DMR YSF Chat 1 - DG-ID 11 XLX 64002
Module C - M17 Chat, URF517 C
Module D - D-STAR Chat - DCS517DL (‘L’ is for Link)
